We pack the goods into a box (so-called Balikbayan Box) and it will be shipped to the Philippines. A door-to-door service takes 3-4 months and costs 95€ (including material).

The word “Balikbayan” originally meant to send gifts to the loves one who were left alone. This is done, by filling the so-called Balikbayan boxes. The boxes are filled with toy stuffs, cloths or large items, which are divided into individual parts in order to fit the standard sizes of the boxes.

Afterwards, these boxes are picked up from home by a Philippine freight forwarding company. The freight forwarder takes these boxes to Hamburg. In containers, these boxes are shipped on freight ships and travel 3-4 months to the Philippines. As soon as the ship arrives in Manila or Cebu, the boxes are distributed and delivered to local hauliers.

In more than 30 years of supporting families in the Philippines, we have never experienced any losses or damages. All goods arrive to their rightful owner.
